Can I connect an Outlook/Office 365 account instead of Gmail?

#26 Resolved

All the setup guides I've found focus on Gmail. Does SubsiMail support Outlook or Office 365 accounts for sending too?

Betty Nguyen Staff 393 days ago

Yes — any SMTP-compatible provider works, Outlook/Office 365 included. Use smtp.office365.com on port 587 with STARTTLS, your full email address as the username, and your account password (or an app password if you have MFA enabled, which Microsoft requires for SMTP auth on most modern tenants). If your organization uses Modern Auth exclusively and has disabled basic SMTP auth entirely at the tenant level, you'll need to ask your Microsoft 365 admin to enable SMTP AUTH for your mailbox specifically — that's a common gotcha for business accounts.
