SubsiMail vs. Instantly
Instantly is a hosted sender with unlimited mailboxes, a bundled 450M-contact lead database, and AI agents layered on top. SubsiMail is a smaller, self-hosted tool: no lead database, no AI agents — just sequences, tracking, and reply detection running on your own server, where your list and your content are never uploaded to anyone's platform.
Where they actually differ
| SubsiMail | Instantly | |
|---|---|---|
| Where it runs | Your own server | Instantly's cloud |
| Who can read your list and outbound content | Nobody but you | Instantly's platform, by design |
| Pricing model | Flat, per connected inbox — unlimited sends and contacts on every plan | Tiered by monthly send volume and contact-list size (mailboxes themselves are unlimited on every tier) |
| Prohibited-industry / content policy | None — we never inspect content | Explicit prohibited list (gambling, adult, firearms, forex, payday loans and more) plus a policy reserving the right to suspend "for any reason or for no reason" |
| Lead database / AI agents | Not included — bring your own list | Bundled 450M+ contact marketplace and AI Sales/Reply/Research agents |
| Sending IP / warmup | Your own connected inbox only | Optional shared warmup network |

Where Instantly is actually the better fit
If you want a lead database bundled in, AI-drafted replies, or a shared warmup network handling deliverability for you, Instantly does that and SubsiMail deliberately doesn't — those are hosted-platform features that require a hosted platform. If prospecting-data and AI tooling matter more to you than owning your infrastructure, Instantly is a reasonable choice. SubsiMail is for the opposite trade-off: fewer built-in extras, full ownership of your data and your server.
FAQ
Is Instantly's pricing per seat?
No — Instantly's plans are gated by monthly send volume and contact-list size, with unlimited connected mailboxes on every tier. SubsiMail's plans are gated by the number of connected inboxes, with unlimited sends and contacts on every plan, including Free.
Can my account get suspended on Instantly?
Their own published sending policy reserves the right to suspend or terminate an account "in its sole and absolute discretion... for any reason or for no reason," alongside an explicit list of prohibited industries. SubsiMail has no equivalent mechanism — it's software running on your server, not an account we administer.
Does SubsiMail include a lead database like Instantly's?
No. SubsiMail is bring-your-own-list. If sourcing new leads from a database is what you need most, that's a real gap versus Instantly.
Can I switch from Instantly to SubsiMail?
Export your contacts to CSV from Instantly and import them into SubsiMail (import guide). Reconnect your sending inbox the same way you did there — Gmail, Outlook, or SMTP.
