Want replies and engagement data flowing into HubSpot automatically. Is there a native integration or does this need Zapier?

There's no native HubSpot integration built in yet, so today this goes through Zapier — you can use our “New Reply” and “Contact Engaged” triggers to create/update HubSpot contacts or log activities. It's an extra step compared to a native integration, but it covers the common use cases (syncing replies, updating deal stages based on engagement) reasonably well in the meantime.
