Downgrading from a higher tier mid-cycle, how does billing work?

#73 Resolved
Christopher C. 283 days ago

Signed up for a higher tier than we actually need. If I downgrade now mid-billing-cycle, do I get a prorated credit, or does it just apply at the next renewal?

Carol Wright Staff 283 days ago

Downgrades take effect at your next renewal date rather than immediately — you'll keep current-tier access for the rest of the period you already paid for, and the lower price applies starting the following cycle. We don't do mid-cycle prorated refunds for downgrades, mainly to keep billing predictable, but you also won't be charged the higher rate again once the downgrade is scheduled.
